Your manual should tell you the proper break-in procedure. I would follow it.
However, when I first bought my '05 Chevy dually I drove it home from the dealer at 70 and 75 MPH on the interstate. Then I hitched up the boat and went to the lake. When I got home and read the manual I found it said not to exceed 55 mph or tow for the first 500 miles. Opps. The truck now has 222,000 miles on it and has been extremely reliable and problem free.
