New Eagle Cap 1200

I was checking out my local dealers inventory of Eagle Cap 1160 and 1165s and stumbled across a 1200 listed. This must be a new model that Eagle Cap is about to launch.

  • Heck, just buy a big 5er or TT if you need that much room. I have a TC for specific reasons that mean I don't need the whole house on the trip. When I go on a trip that does require the whole house, I'll bring a different rig.

A tall person can only hope that a camper with a 84 inch long bed would have more than 76 inches of head room.

A lack of headroom is a problem with every Eagle Cap camper.

Eagle Caps only have 78 or 76 inches. Subtract 2 inches for the AC equals only 6' 2"or 6' 4" anything taller equals ducking or lumps on the noggin.

You just need to mount one these to your hat:

California King sized beds in campers with low headroom seems such a waste.

Although this tall person has about given up all RV's. Not enough headroom or not enough bed room. Rats!

We have a California King in our home. How many normal sized people even know what a California King is?

  • Mixed feeling about the pantry in the bathroom, but otherwise like the layout. It will be another model to add to our list of Eagle Cap 1165 and Host Mammoth.

It's time jack manufacturers to up their capacity or the TC manufacturers need to start outfitting their campers with six jacks. Yes, these larger units are continuing to get heavier.
