It is a compromise. It is a great choice for those that do not tow often and heavy. If that is what you do.... Then by all means do what it takes to get one.
BUT,,,, At the end of the day, it is a 1/2 ton platform. If you tow heavy and often, a 3/4-1 ton platform makes more sense. Pricing is similar, the components are more stout, and the MPGs when towing are not that far apart. And they are plentiful.
As always, your money, your choice.
