Marketing yes but NOT BS marketing...heck everything we own today is marketed even the underwear and socks we have on....as stated here in the thread these trucks are tested to get these ratings form the new J method. The correctly configured 150 can pull and stop 13200lbs within all the J method specs. NOWHERE does Ford or any other manufacturer state that the trucks can Tow a 13200lb travel trailer or 5th wheel at the 10 to 15% tongue weight and/or 20 to 25% pin weight range. Now that would be BS marketing.Can the 150 pull a 13200lb flat bed trailer @10% tongue weight and be within specs dang right it can and will. 99% of people on this forum being a trailer forum look at it as Ford does market this way and honestly they do not. Thinking so is just as insane as thinking a 3/4 ton truck is well within spec to pull a 13000lbs 5th wheel just because its a heavy duty and has a 15000lb tow rating. I love when those people bash the 1/2 ton crowd for towing close or at max when they are 1000lbs over there payload rating before anyone is even in there truck...:h
