Nothing there that increases a F150's load carrying capacities.
I see F150 owners with the 6800 gvwr and 3800 rawr with max tow option asking if the truck will pull a XXXXX lb trailer. After its explained the 3800 rawr can't carry the weight they usually come back with a "...but it has the max tow option". Then they realize the truck won't tow max loads or tow ratings.
Ford needs to rename this package as it confuses folks that don't have the experience to know what to look at.
There is one thing that increases the load carrying capacity and that is the upgraded rear bumper. It is actually a upgraded hitch included as well. Very misleading yes I agree. I have a 150 with the Max Tow and my hitch rating is 1320lbs. My tow rating is 13000lbs and I have a RAWR of 4050 with a GVWR of 7050. My payload rating is 1701lbs and my 157" wheelbase Screw XLT has every option available in the XLT even the boxlink and spray in liner from factory. All I seen same exact truck without max tow maxed the hitch at 1050lbs as they are 2 completely different hitches. But yes from the actual brochure statements one would not know that.
