Won't be towing for a week or so and by then will have well over 500 on it. I understand the break in process, but thanks for pointing it out just the same.

Indeed they should.

For my new Ram I got in the fall of 2014, dealer service manager said no towing for first 500 miles, and don't use cruise control.

Apparently the variable RPM'S resulting from just using the old foot on the gas pedal helped to break in the motor.

And the no towing is to break in the rear axle gears.

Slide up under and look up. It's even more beautious!

When I purchased my 2012 F350 I was about a year away from purchasing our first large fiver. The first 8,000 or 9,000 miles were local and pulling a couple lighter construction trailers.

Now towing over 15,000 pounds I am glad I broke it in easy. You will love that 6.7.

Very nice truck. You just thought the Tundra pulled good.
