New F350/450 vs used F450 or Ram3500

I would rather have an F350 with 3.55 gears for pulling a 17,000 lb trailer than an F450 with 4.30 gears. At 22,000 lbs I would go to 4.10 gears and wouldn't want 4.30 gears unless my trailer was approaching 30,000 lbs. As far as I know the F450 only comes with 4.30 gears.
