Pretty! If I were in the market for a small fiberglass trailer, I'd take a look. Don't know that I'd buy though - I'm not wealthy. Presumably for that price, it would be well made. While the price is high, it is in line with Airstream's overall pricing structure. (The Airstream Sport, which is similarly sized, is also 45K.)
Door on the back: Frees up a lot of interior space, so is a logical move in trailers this size. It's not my preference though as it makes it hard to carry things on the back. As far as mud from the road: I carry bikes on the back of my trailer (safely) and they never get muddy or grimy. The wheels are far enough forward that road spray gets caught by the underside of the trailer and has time to make it's way to the bottom of the frame or ground. The front of the trailer gets very dirty from spray from the car, but not the back.
Yes, it has a 13K roof-mounted AC (with ground-level condensation drain - a nice touch). It also has 4 stabilizer jacks, 2 deep cycle batteries, solar prewire, and a handful of other nice features that don't come with other trailers this size. Not enough to account for the price, but that's Airstream for you.
