The Honda Ridgeline is a unibody pickup with a comfy ride, AWD, V6, and 5000 lb tow rating. But sales numbers don't inspire new competition in the segment. I suppose the Courier would be smaller still; I think it would need a very low price point to have much appeal.
I think your right about price being the prime factor. I could see teenagers as a first vehicle, parts delivery and other uses if the price was cheap enough.
