My insurance agent is a repeat customer of the Honda Ridgeline and loves it, not so much the Honda dealer who constantly tries to up sale him on unnecessary maintenance.
I think your right about price being the prime factor. I could see teenagers as a first vehicle, parts delivery and other uses if the price was cheap enough.
