I've had what I consider more than normal issues with my truck. Only one serious issue while most are insignificant.Here's my list:Serious: Torque converter going out (replaced)Not So Serious: Window switch failed (replaced), Window regulator going out(replaced), rear seat fold down mechanism (replaced), and front door speaker failed (replaced).I have roughly 25,000 miles. I just wondering if this is normal. Previous 2010 F150 had control arm, body mount, shock, and transmission problems that were all very serious. Got rid of that truck. Dealer made good deal to get me out of it with this dealer trade. Salesman is a friend. Then I hear of so many larger problems with GM and Dodge so I don't know if I'm being hyper critical and these problems are just the norm. I never had these type of problems on midsize trucks and SUVs. All of my fullsize trucks have had several problems.Thanks

You can get a bad one in all of them. I don't know what you hear bad about Dodge but I am a member of about 4 Ram forums and I don't see many problems

Google 2012 or 2013 ford f150 problems and see what forums are saying. I do this for all the big three to see what issues are.

My eco was the first truck I've ever had in for significant problem/warranty work at low miles. It ingested water while towing in a thunderstorm. Although I knew about the potential for the problem and that it was very likely to happen when I hammered on it in those conditions, it still killed my confidence in the truck. Only the left bank catalytic converter needed replacement. No other issues from the incident.Aside from this, there were no other issues or causes for concern. The truck was a very nice rig compared to the GMs I've owned.Had a front axle seal on a GM 1/2 ton leaking oil before the first oil change. Another GM 1/2 ton had a front axle seal go out at about 20k. Another of my GM 1/2 tons had a front sealed wheel bearing go out at around 30k. From the time it started making noise to the time I finally pulled into the dealer was only about 20 miles and it was bad enough the brake caliper pistons started getting pushed back in and I had no brakes on the first pump of the pedal! My last GM 1/2 ton with the 5.3 and AFM had one or more of the lifters that would collapse and not pump up for a minute or so on occasion. Sounded terrible, like a 2000 model year diesel. Main seal was also seeping at 50k when I traded for the F150HD.Other than that, trouble-free:) Fingers crossed on the 6.2.

FWIW my 12 2500 Ram feels tighter than my 2010 F150. Not one squeak rattle or clunk. 2010 F150 had the tranny bump and various rattles plus rear end clunk. Took it in for the tranny bump and Ford said run it till it breaks then they'll no what's wrong. Not kidding, that's what the tech guy that drove around with me said.

We have a 2007 Toyota Matrix, bought new. Lot's of issues... electronic, sensors, etc...ie: ECM replaced among other items. Waiting for the recall notices right now...for the airbag issue and the electrical fault in the electric window opener switch.

Are you saying with your million combined miles you've never...ever had any issues. What about all the Toyota recalls ?

We had a 2009 Matrix we bought new. Never had an issue. Gave it to my daughter and grandson last summer and still no issues. Only recall was for the 'sticky accelerator' garbage which was a bunch of govt manufactured beans.

Here you go. As you can see dependability is 'average' on the 2009 Matrix. Also you've missed at least two of three recalls.

I could care less about averages. MY vehicle is the only one that matters. You either get a good one or you don't.

I'll start by saying I'm NOT a Ford guy but I've had about 20 F series gasser pickups, company trucks over the last 19 years. Pretty much every model year. Out of all those I can think of 3 that had major issues and only 1 lemon.
99F350 V10. Spit a spark plug at 100k miles. 05 F150 5.4 lost a couple injectors with low miles. No other issues.
08 F150 5.4. Steering pump bad low miles. Door lock mechanism broke prolly my fault for opening it so many times with a coat hanger though haha. Right bank cat converter cratered at 50k. Got hot and burned up a bunch of stuff on that side of the motor. Trans grenaded at 60k. Few other things too.
That said all of those trucks got used to their full capability and then some.
Think you got a bad apple. Ford is as solid as any of the others

Have had zero issues with my 5.4L F250 in 57,000 miles. Only towed 9000 with it, but a lot of that was in the Smoky mountains and Rocky mountains. Has been a great truck. You seem to have had some bad luck with your two F150's.

My delivery was held up a few days for a window regulator recall. And I had the water in the intercooler issue with the EB, we'll see if Ford's latest fix works when it warms up and I start towing. Other than that, no issues.
