New guy looking at f150 5.4 and 5.0
I haven't bought a trailer yet but looking in the 6500-7500 GVW . As far as a tow vehicle I was looking at either a 2010 f150 5.4 w/ 3.73 rear and max trailer package. Or a 2011 and up f150 with 5.0 ...

Don't get me wrong I really like the Ram 1500, however on a couple of half-ton truck shoot outs it turned the lowest towing MPG. It did however complete the runs the closest to the ecoboost.
It seems as though the mileage / EPA claims are way out there. I have been watching fuelly.com and seeing what people are getting hand calculate across the board and they all seem to be around the 15mpg mark unloaded in mixed driving.
