Durb - creative suggestion on the tires. Stock tires are 275/70R18 for the RAM. The used truck I’m looking at has brand new Wrangler Adventure AT’s, my favorite tire. Would be painful to throw those away (no time or patience to sell). And I’ve always been reluctant to go away from stock sizing. Considering the trucks prices, what’s another grand, though. This certainly could be part of the solution and will look into it.).
My suggestion was to increase the size of the tires and wheels on the trailer.
Which is somewhere between impractical and impossible since the OP‘s trailer has 15s.
And to that point, also impractical on the truck unless he drops to 17” rims. I think they still fit on 4.5gens. Then he could get some litttle pizza cutters and have marginal tire capacity.
But the whole thing is kinda laughable to lose money on a truck because your dog can’t make a u turn in the back seat! Lol
