Not really! What about the amount the rear compresses with his load???
Like I said he won't know if the RV needs any adjusting until his RV is FULLY LOADED and hitched.
FWIW my 18 2500 with coils dropped around 2" with 1800 lbs in it. Wouldn't be too hard to figure on a 1.5-2" drop when calculating the difference between the bed rails and the overhang. No 2500 will stay the same when hitched. They all drop 1.5-2".
If the overhang difference is 4" then the OP will be close. Anything less and he's in trouble.
It ain't rocket science.
