New KZ Sportsmen Owner

This is my first post, but, I have been lurking here for a long time. I have learned alot from this forum. We just recently sold a 2012 19' Jayco and bought a KZ Sportsmen Showstopper S242SBHSS that is 26 foot and has a slide and we are very excited about all the room we have in the new one. I have been an active member of the Jayco forum and since I no longer own the Jayco and was disappointed with some design flaws, I no longer post there. Are there any KZ Sportsmen Showstopper owners out there that can comment on the quality or likes and dislikes of their travel trailers?
  • About 4 months ago we bought a new 2014 KZ Connect 220RBK. It's about the same length (well...25') and weight as yours. We love it.

No problems with the rig and we have been slowly adding our personal touches.

Such as the extending shower curtain rod and oxygenics shower head.

Ran a surge strip down the wall for the Keruig, put removable bubble foil (forgot what it's really called) from Home Depot on all the windows to block heat and light, etc

    And other stuff....

Anyway, great rig. You will enjoy it! :)
  • We are in the same boat as you. We just brought home a new KZ301 bunkhouse, I am taking a break just now loading it up for it's maden voyage to Michigan. All I have done so far is hitch it up and bring it home. Tows great so far here in the flats of Illinois, tomorrow will be the first test for our family, we are very excited.

We chose this camper because of all the good things I read and because the local dealer has been wonderful. We have noticed only a few small fit/finish items so far and once we get a short laundry list of issues we will have them addressed at the dealer under warrantee .

Good luck to you on your move to the bigger camper and enjoy!
  • Not us, but welcome! You'll find lots of helpful folks here for whatever brand you have. Happy Camping!
