If so it should have leaked like crazy. Just shootin in the dark but the guy caulking may have stepped up there and split the roof.
Either way, the dealer should "in good faith" return your deposit. There is no way he should keep your deposit. Be persistent and dont let up. Asked to talk to the owner or whomever it takes.
Let him know that you will take whatever measures need be to get your money back, BBB, Good Sams, etc.. Surely, upon further inspection they will see the light.
In my younger days I would have informed the manager that he might want to make an appt. with his dentist to replace missing teeth in his near future should he continue to refuse a refund!!! LOL

lol, I think you are looking at his straight edge he was using to measure the depression, not a roof beam. If the roof beam were exposed like that, I think there would be no issue of deposit keeping.
