Keep in mind that the dealers are going to pad the price enough to, 1 pay the commission. 2 pay the over head, 3 build a customer relationship to bleed you dry in their parts and service department, and my all time favorite, 4, pay for their annual excursion to sunny climes.
By all means the RV dealer deserves to make a profit from his business, but I draw the line at usury. Why should I pay the RV dealer ridiculously inflated prices for parts I can by at my auto parts store, then pony up for all of the extras. Tell me the price of the parts, the price of the labor including the "shop supplies", etc.
If you want the deal of a life time, you need to be constantly on top of the happenings in your town, they don't happen on a dealers lot and rarely on CL.
