- VinsilExplorerLove the RZR we have for family fun but miss having a quad. Coming from 450 race bikes I'm drawn to these big powerful utility quads now! I'd buy one just like this if I was in the market.
- BedlamModeratorClimbing in and out of the buggy is definitely harder than mounting a quad, but the buggy is more stable than a quad or RZR due it's wide low stance. I've seen too many injuries with roll overs to not have a cage, but really am attracted to the 4wd utility quads.

Did you consider the Ace when looking at the Sportsman? It has almost the same footprint.
No, I did not. I previously had a 900 RZR but sold it. I do not like the helpless feeling of being strapped in and unable to put any body English on it on hill sides. A lot of my riding includes trails thru Public Land that allows grazing. Getting in/out every time to open/close a gate was a PITA. :) - BedlamModeratorDid you consider the Ace when looking at the Sportsman? It has almost the same footprint.

So where are taking this new toy? Or should I ask where this toy will be taking you?
Well, that's the problem. Between the 1000's of square miles of public land in Idaho, Oregon and Nevada it makes for a hard decision at times!! :B - BedlamModerator

Also the fact that their about to close the only place we can ride within a couple hours of here, ugh.
- BedlamModeratorIt's street licensed, so I just installed new snow tires on the rear. That gives it a little bit of aggressive tread without wearing out as fast the off the road tires I have run in the past. It's comfortable at 45 mph on the roads, but drops down to half that speed in soft sand when I use short paddles. It has a dual range CVT with reverse like your Polaris, but is only 2wd. It's popular to swap in the Polaris 500HO into this frame and I couldn't image what it would with your 850.
This was at the Little Camas Reservoir near you:
This gives you an idea of little paddles we use:
It is over 60" wide but only about 100" long: - _DJ_1Explorer II

I get along with just 250cc and 2wd. Yours would get me in trouble:
