The computers aren't perfect but ballpark it okay. Hand calculated also isn't perfect but ballparks it okay. The assumption that the tank gets equally filled each time is inaccurate, imo.
Nice truck, OP. They get good mileage for 8000 lb bricks, although the fuel economy drops pretty quick over about 65 or when you mix in much city driving.
True. I use the method of when the nozzle shuts off at full, I don't add any more. that gets me as close to the same filling level as I can get each time I'm checking mileage by hand calculation.
With diesel I have found the difference due to foaming to be very significant tank for tank using the one click method.
