I had a 92 5.2 reg cab short box, but mine was an SLT and 3:55 gears. That truck ran 14:40's all day long at the strip, and that was with little traction. I loved that truck. I traded it in for a custom ordered 97 reg cab short box SLT, but it only managed 15:20's. The 92 and 93's had different exhaust manifolds and camshaft which made them quicker, and as was mentioned, they packed on some heft with the next body style. Mopar Action magazine took a stripper 92 model and ran some 13's with it, unmodified. These are overlooked trucks when it comes to performance, 'cause they'll run.
