New Rims

I have a 2005 Jayflight 31BHS and the painted white wheels are badly rusted. I've considered trying to scrape and paint them but think I'd prefer to purchase new rims. We camp on the beach so I'm hoping someone has input regarding what type of rims are most corrosion resistant in that environment. In addition I am unsure what size rims I need based on a tire size of ST225/75R15.

Any and all input appreciated.

Thanks.

Bob

  • Ever think of shooting your current wheels with some Plasti-dip? It goes on and peels off, can make old look like new...comes in a variety of colors. I sprayed my factory wheels on my new Silverado with the black plasti-dip and everyone asked where I got the cool new wheels! Cost me 20 bucks for 4 spray cans at Lowes, and I still have 2 cans left.

    Cheap, easy and effective!
  • If the most corrosion resistant in that environment is the only criteria maybe galvanized rims are just the ticket…
