New Rockwood Roo 23SS ... slide won't open

Well, our new 23SS is now home! My wife's parents went to rvwholesalers.com to pick it up for us and after a long couple days of driving ... it's here!!! It looks great, we can't wait to put it to use!

But there's one problem. The slide isn't sliding out. It did at RVW for the inspection, but it's not moving at all. No motor sounds, no clicking ... nothing. I'll call RVW tomorrow, but does anyone have any ideas of where I should start troubleshooting?

  • I agree it's probably a fuse. But I don't recall one right at the motor in my 23SS (but it's several years old now). There is one under the trailer in that vicinity as Footsoldier notes.

Does all the 12v work? RVW ran a 23SS slide out for me just by hooking up a 12v battery to a new trailer. The amperage draw may require the battery be installed and the battery switch ON.

  • There is a 30amp fuse under the left front corner of the trailer that protects the slide motor. I bet it is blown. Mine was in a green rubber weather covering and it's right out in the open, easy to spot right near the front corner.
