Rockwood signature 8332sb

We just bought a 2025 Rockwood signature 8332SB,  we left the dealership and drove a hour and a half to our first campsite. Upon arrival we noticed that the full size refrigerator had moved out of its place and found some small screws on the floor, the 12v fridge had two screws holding the bottom/back and 5 small screws holding the top Bach in place. The refrigerator itself is in a slide with almost 4 inches of play on both sides of the compartment it sits in. There is nothing except a few screws to keep it from rocking side to side or front to back.  The warranty department for Rockwood would not warranty the refrigerator for remount, nor would they give advice on how to better secure the fridge. So until I can figure out a better way to mount the fridge I have a 70,000 dollar lawn ornament.

Has anyone else had this problem?

  • For your sake I hope you’re posting from Canada. Since that camper is $50k usd on a good day (for the dealer), brand new.
Even worse if the dealer and the mfg refused to do some simple repair under warranty. Especially since the dealer pocketed an extra $20k on top of normal profit.
in general, expect a bunch of quality issues with a new rv. Especially little piddly stuff  like your fridge mount which may not even be worth the time to take it in, since it’s so minor.
Good news is, after a year or 2 of good use, the little fit and finish stuff should be behind you.
In the meantime pack a basic tool kit and use it as needed imo.
