New RV problems

Recently we purchased a 2015 Keystone Bullet 24RKS travel trailer. The toilet was installed too close to the wall so the toilet lid does not stay up. Very inconvenient! Took trailer in to local Keystone Service Dealer 2 months after we purchased it to have this issue fixed. We were told by the dealer that Keystone said this was a design issue and they would not fix it. I phoned Keystone directly and was told the same, they would not fix this problem. All it would take is to move the toilet 1/2 to 1 inch from the wall so the lid would stay up when using toilet. Just a warning to all who are interested in a Keystone manufactured RV, they are not interested in customer service and satisfaction.

  • I have to admit its a poor design but I would rather have it like it is than have them butcher up the floor to move it.
  • I have a 20 year old travel trailer and have the same problem. There is only so much room in the bathrom. I was able to reposition the latch for the storage compartment behind the toilet and get enough room to make it work. Welcome to the camper world. They are all built with this level of quality. If they were built perfect they would cost so much we could not afford them.
  • And how much less headache would you have by buying a hatch latch and using it to latch the lid to the wall
