New shocks for '06 GMC Sierra 1500HD?? (Rear end bounce)
We recently acquired a 2006 GMC 1500HD to pull our new Palomino Solaire TT. The truck has about 66000 miles on it, and brand new Michelin tires.
The issue I'm having is just that there seems to be a lot of bounce in the rear end when trailering anything, either our TT or today I hooked up my brother's ski boat and had the same experience. I'm leaning toward there needing to be a new set of shocks put on the back, although I'm not sure if that's the issue or not.
I've read that Bilstein shocks seem to be a favorite for replacement options, but I'm not sure which model for my truck. To my knowledge it isn't lifted at all.
So I'm curious if anyone can point me towards their model# I'd be looking for, and if that sounds like a good option for a bouncy truck when towing anything with weight like our TT and a ski boat. BTW, our TT has a full weight distribution setup and I'm quite confident that is setup properly per the specs.
Thanks in advance.
