I would say he has soft sidewall tires!
No doubt that they are softer than LT tires but I believe that I can feel the suspension bumpers hitting. I have looked around a little bit for 265/75/18 tires with stiffer sidewalls but have not found any yet. The tires are rated for 44psi but the door sticker says to only inflate them to 35. I could go up on the tire pressure some but I might trigger the TPMS. The dealer cannot tell me what range the TPMS is happy with so I guess it would be trial an error. The truck will be used a lot on the road empty so I don't want to screw with the ride too much. So far load capacity does not seem to be an issue so I think my first step will be new shocks, probaly the adjustable RS9000s. There may be more steps after that.
The door sticker is for an unloaded truck. I highly recommend airing up to 44psi. Will help with the "wiggle" from the soft sidewalls.
It WILL NOT trigger the tpms. The tpms will only trigger on low air pressure. It doesn't care how high the pressure is.
