New small Airstream TT that will fit inside garage.

Airstream and Porsche have unveiled a sleek and modern concept RV that can fit inside a garage — see inside.

Others can make a clicky and thanks.

I am in the market for small TT and a former full timer.

Enjoy

Well it’s not an alternative yet. It’s a concept. Big difference.
And Olivers aren’t really alternatives to “normal” campers. Like saying a Lambo Urus is an alternative to a Toyota Highlander….because they’re both mid size suvs.

At least Airstream has some sort of following for its other campers and Oliver makes fiberglass shower stalls for mobile homes, or just her of them would be in business selling 6 figure mini campers!
  • Our 16RB Airstream Bambi is 9ft 3in tall. One could remove the tires and put it on dollies and lower it a few inches but not likely enough to get it in most garages.

After owning a motorhome, 5th wheel, teardrop, and 4 Airstreams we have found just what we need and want at this point in time.

It is not uncommon for local citizens to stop by and ask questions and tell us how cute it is. When traveling we will be approached to answer questions and be told how cute it is.

Anyone who purchases the car and Airstream in the article will have deep pockets.

That's the clicky, and thanks Nam for bringing this new TT to our attention. I'm looking forward to looking at it carefully.

Yes, I am sure it is expensive. But add up all the storage fees you'd save if you could park it in a garage!!

Also lots of small fiberglass shell campers kicking around that would fit in a garage.

    Nothing particularly new here.
  • The older Airstream Bubba mentioned would not have fit in our double garage. We had an overhead garage door opener. The air conditioner would not have cleared the overhead door.
  • "But this new concept RV takes a more modern, sleek, and aerodynamic approach with an exterior that looks different from any product the RV maker has released before."

This quote from the news article and thanks bubba Bob for your valuable insight and input to this post.

Very different as in not the same as the older 16 footers which means totally different and more modern with popup roof, lowering suspension and all new look and features. Some modern garages are smaller than older standard size in the good old days. The older airstreams are ugly IMHO but not this one IMHO. See MNtundraRet reply.

Happy Camping and Cheers to the brave
  • It's a nice concept. We always lived in a townhouse where trailers / rv's would need to fit in our double garage to meet association rules. Our pop-up trailer and High-low trailer fit okay. After that we needed to use storage lots and pay a monthly fee.
