New Style Vertical Motor Happijac Spy Photos

These new style Happijac vertical motor jacks were on Lance campers recently shipped to dealers. It appears they have the jack leg release lever.

I would like to get a look at the guts underneath that cover.

  • Yep, could be more of the same. But. Happijac got bought by Lippert, so maybe they have turned a corner......or maybe not, we will see.

Lets hope this is a major upgrade over their past jack motors which for the most part didn't last. Hopefully they are interchangeable with the older jacks too.

Yep, you don't have to search very far on the internet to read about a lot of serious problems with Happijac jacks. This should be an improvement over the old design, but who knows?

crappi jack has a very long history of making product changes that reduced their production costs yet caused price increases and usually also reduced quality and dependability ,expect more of the same !!!!!!

That lever is on my older HJ's. It just disconnects the motor so you can use the hand crank if you have motor problems.

I did not know that was the function of the lever. I assumed it was the quick release for the jack leg.

Any way to tell from the photos if they are acme-screw or ball-screw?

  • Can't see much on those thumbnails.
What is the deal with jacks?
They discontinue Atwoods, who with very good records were lifetime items, only to open new line of product?
I bet the price is different as well?
  • Nice to see companies upgrading their products. I’d also be curious to see how they are built internally and if these changes will help some of their common problems.
Did you receive your new camper yet Brad?
