New tire pressure
Just bought some new Lt 245/70/17 tires max tire pressure on tire says 80 lb my door sticker says 35 lb I have a 1500 silverado do I need to put 80 lb or 35 in the tires the tires are general grabb...

Your OEM P tires had around 2535 lbs capacity at 35 psi. Granted the tire may have a 44 psi max as my wifes P265/70-17 tires on her 1500 chevy but there is no load gain above 35 psi in a P tire. The higher 44 pressure stiffens the P tires sidewalls.
The LT E will have to be aired to 50-55 psi to get the same 2535 lbs capacity. Check out a load pressure chart for P and LT E tire.
A actual scaled weight is a better bet. Then use the chart and adjust pressure to meet the load.
Don't over pressure those 1500 truck wheels.
