Welcome! We are building our own truck camper and this is a great forum for info and research. We plan to travel to Alaska in a few years and do some exploring. We also will be carrying dirt bikes, snowmachines and a boat (but a sailboat, so really only useful in Anchorage).

I bet you are going to have fun with that 1160. What type of truck are you using? Have you needed 4x4 or a winch often in Alaska?
