The fridge shown in his pictures is the NovaCool 7.5cuft compressor fridge. I recognize it since I am the one that turned Bob onto it's availability on the market when I looked into fitting it into our Apex9. It would have fit but I didn't want to sacrifice the closet space to do so. I instead use an ARB fridge/freeze in the truck's cab to supplement our refrigeration needs. The compressor fridges don't draw as much current as people seem to think as they are not running all the time. Even out here in the 100+ degree desert our Tundra 4.2 cuft only runs about a third of the time. Unlike an absorption fridge running on 12V which runs pretty much constantly.
While I never had corrosion problems with the FWC batteries in my previous camper. We went with Lifeline AGMs in our current Apex partly due to the outgassing but more so due to the back two batteries being under the floor and not able to verify water levels without pulling the front two.
I had the Auto-Fill kit on our previous camper's FWCs but never fully trusted it as the shut off could be overpowered by a final firm squeeze.
