New to me

brought her home last night. 2008 23ft Flagstaff MicroLite MicroLite LB. very well maintained, family I bought it from are the original owners. dealer maintained (roof and seals and winterizing) every year with receipts. 1 year old tires, bearings (with bearing buddies) and brakes. The foam floor has a very minor softness in front of the fridge/stove/sink area but its high traffic and not at all bad. all systems work as they should and no signs of water intrusion. She's a big step of from what I'm used to. Lots to learn now, maiden voyage is this weekend. Biggest downfall to me is there isn't much storage but there is enough and now everyone has their own bed and its well within what my truck can handle. Sorry for the crappy pictures, I'll get better ones in the daylight.

    Second thing, throw the Bearing Buddies in the garbage. THey are for boat trailers.

    thanks for the words of caution guys, ill keep that in mind when its time to repack. have to check the hub size on my boat (don't know it off hand and its not stored at home) maybe I can get lucky and 'repurpose' them.

    Would second the comment about bearing buddies, they work well for boat trailers without brakes, not so well with RV'S where greese can go past the seals and contaminate the brakes.

    The first thing is to inspect the brakes, bearings and suspension. Knowing that it is roadworthy is more important than the pretty stuff. You mentioned bearing buddies, I hope not because they keep a constant pressure on the grease eventually pushing it into the brakes. More likely you simply have a grease fitting on the end of the axle, and that too can cause grease to be pushed past the inner seal. I suggest that you hand pack bearings and never use those gimmicks.

    haha sorry guys, late night early morning. coffee hadn't kicked in. wife and kids have settled in for breakfast at camp driveway. looking forward to loading her up tonight and starting to figure out all the bells and whistles.
