Hi, I am new to this site. We just came to the dark side (we meaning my my husband, myself, and my daughter), we just purchased a 2014 Aerolite and we love it. It is a big upgrade from the Viking popup we had, I am not sure if this is where I post my questions, but here it goes, I am looking for ideas on storing our clothes. Our TT does not have actual drawers, we just have narrow cabinets. I was looking for some ideas on storing the small things, I have no problem hanging shirts, pants/shorts etc, but I don't want to hand the small stuff does anyone have any creative ways. Of sorting these items? The space I have for these items are tall (about 4ft tall) and narrow (about 1 ft wide), so the space is awkward, thanks in advance!

Hi,At one point, I had a 1' wide stack of plastic drawers, that where about 3 drawers tall. However most of the cabinet was taken up with the drawers, not much storage inside them. So I started stacking all the clothes in the bottom of my closet. It works fairly well. Or you might want to use duffel bags for the personal items, just pull out the daily needs and put it back. It is always best to have a full set of dishes, utensils, and all the other things needed for camping in the RV. I keep in cinnamon, pepper, salt, baking soda, vanilla, and other things I might use for cooking. Fred.

I used hanging shoe pockets to create a small set of "shelves" inside the hanging wardrobes in our TT. Three-sided ones (closed on the back side) work best.

You can adapt some of these great ideas that other members have mentioned or you can install shelves in one or more of the cabinets. The sky is the limit along with your imagination of what works for you.I went to Google to see your Aerolite and see there are several models. Which one is yours. Also you might fill in your sig line with your travel vehicle (TV)and your travel Trailer (TT) make and model.

Welcome! You can gain additional storage by attaching shoe pockets(widthwise) to the side of your bed frame if you have one with an "open edge." Works well for shoes or anything else. We use our shower for various items such as drink storage, laundry, etc. Usually use campground showers.Great, cheap organizers of all sizes can be found at dollar stores.Plastic drawer stacks are great if you have a space to accomodate.

Maria, have you gone on a camping trip yet? If not make sure you take a pad and pen to write down all the mods and things you want to do to make your camping experience more enjoyable. I try and set at least 1/2 day aside when we are camping to work on installing mods, like hat, ket, and sweater hooks so we are not constantly having to restow and then pull things back out. When we get ready to move/go down the road then we restore everything before we leave.

Mostly it's DW (D--- Wife) and myself camping now. When we had our hybrid DW bought 2 plastic 3-drawer shelves and set them on the back bunk. Perhaps you can do that with an unused bunk?

My TT has two tall and narrow closets - one for hanging stuff and one that is divided by a shelf. I found the tall "hanging" closet in our TT to be useless, so I added two shelves inside it. That leaves 5 "cubbies"... Myself, mom, son and daughter each get a cubby for clothes, last cubby is for bathroom towels. Shelves are very basic - I used building glue (may have been Liquid Nails) to attach strips of wood to the walls of the closet, then cut plywood to fit and sit on the wood strips. I coated the plywood with a couple layers of polyurethane.

We put plates and some cooking utensils in the camper's oven. We rarely use the oven, so it acts as good storage. Obviously you have to remember to remove anything in the oven before lighting it!

Welcome to the forum! As noted there are a lot of storage options that you can use, what you pick depends a lot on the dimensions of the cabinet and what organizing system fits best. We have added shelves in the closets of every TT we have owned to help get stuff organized. Keep in mind that everything is moving while you are going down the road, so part of the challenge in organizing is keeping the stuff where you put it so it's not on the floor when you get to your destination.

Maybe start a new thread here in Travel Trailers and ask folks to post pics of some of the creative storage solutions that have come up with, both home made and store bought. Post some pics of whatever you decide to do too!

With that type of dinette, is it pretty easy to walk to the bathroom with the slide in?
