Good choice. The '14 Durango with the ZF or Chrysler made 8spd auto is a nice vehicle.
How often will you tow? You may want to consider opting for the V8. I believe the V8 will give you a 7400lb tow rating instead of 6400lbs. Importantly, at least on one version you can get a 7100lb GVWR .. which helps address the payload concerns some others have posted about.
7100 GVWR, assuming the vehicle weighs around 5500lbs real world (Dodge site shows 5133 for heaviest model) would give you 1700lbs of capacity for hitch weight, people and gear.
