Unfortunately, even with the $1,000 rebate incentive, that was still higher than I had expected (I thought there was more margin in these cars, but as the Holdback belongs to the dealership holding the inventory, they had no control over that portion). It had the "Premium Group" (to give NAV and the taller 20" wheels which I like for the higher ground clearance), the "Safety Security Group" (which I like for the blind spot detection and automatic high/lo beam dimmer) and the "Trailer Tow Group IV" (7/4 pin, class IV hitch, full size spare on steel, automatic rear load leveler, engine cooler, etc). With taxes, tag, etc, it was right at $43K out the door -- I'd been expecting $40K. So, we didn't commit yet (the $1K incentive ended that night, so don't know if even that price is still available).
It's all so frustrating -- ups and downs in the process. We'll get there, just not sure when!

If you are shopping the 35-40k price range, you could buy a great TV that will handle most any size trailer you could ever want. If it were me (I know, it's not me) I would be looking for something a couple of years old that I wouldn't have to question if it could tow your rv. I paid less than that for a 2 1/2 year old Duramax with 36k miles on it.
