- VerneExplorerGee, kind of like asking what size shoe you should wear. It depends on what's comfortable for your particular feet and what kind of running/walking you want to do. I.e, how big is the family, where and how do you want to camp, and what amenities are important to you . . .
For us the answer was 23' - ScottGNomad26' 4" is the absolute perfect length for TT.

So true - My 17' works great for me, but I suspect there are those that would find it confining. I will say that the shorter you get, the more opportunities you will have for sites, particularly at the National Parks.
Only the OP can answer his own question. With that said we love our 22 footer. - TPUCExplorerOnly the OP can answer his own question. With that said we love our 22 footer.
- DtaylorExplorerIt comes down to personal preference. I like space and do not like to feel closed in. For the wife and I, a 27' (30' overall) with the slide was the only way to go. You may not require the space I do. JMHO but I would think 25-28' (30-31' overall) living space.
- whwaldrepExplorerWell I guess my unit is to long then. It's 41' exterior length.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII would think around 23 feet. That way you can get a walk around queen bed in the front, a rear bath, and a right side dinette. Those are the things I would look for if I were in the market for a new TT. But, I think a lot of it is preference of the owners and what they think is perfect.
- falconbrotherExplorer IIMy sister's family has a 26 foot TT and they have towed it from coast to coast, over the Rockies, several times. They pull it with a diesel Dodge truck. They tell me that they think it's the best combination of roominess and towability along with getting it in pretty much every camp ground. They think that the overkill on the tow vehicle takes any stress out of towing as they barely feel that trailer back there.
- 69_AvionExplorerI have a 34' Avion and it is a wonderful trailer. I really enjoy using it, but I haven't pulled it in about 4 or 5 years. Now, I only use my C-11 camper on a trailer because I can take it off road. It really depends on what you are doing with it.
