You can put 18"s on the Chevy. Those 22's should be worth some money. You don't need a HD truck to pull 5K worth of trailer. The 6.2 puts the power down and gets good mpg when not towing just slightly less than 5.3.
^This. OP, you're fixating on an insignificant part of the equation worrying about what brand of tires and to an extent, what wheels the truck comes with.
First, getting "LT" tires is typically an improvement over P or XL tires for a couple reasons. 1 being rated load capacity. 2 being stiffer with less flex/sway potential.
LT isn't a magical designation. Low profile XL tires will give you the stiffness and stability by virtue of less sidewall and less sidewall flex. If you can get 2500-2900lb cap tires, how much do you really think you're putting on the rear axle of a half ton? With weight distribution, you're going to be within the tires capacities, unless you really start loading gheavy, above the axle ratings of the truck.
And if you are dead set on having some D or E load LT tires, again, don't worry about if the truck comes with 20s or 22s and you can't find tires for those rims. The rims you want are dime a dozen for sale as takeoffs for the rest of the folks putting aftermarket rims or upgraded OE takeoffs. You'll be able to sell the fancy wheels for, more than you'll buy a set of 17s or 18s for (OE takeoffs).
Get the truck you want then worry about the wheels. And don't let the dealer get involved with it unless you're a sucker for paying dealers to do simple tasks. (But I'm sure you could find the right dealer that would gladly switch out some high $ dubs or 22s for some more plebeian wheels free of charge. They may even accommodate you by charging you extra $ to do something that will not cost them anything!)
Good luck truck shopping. The 6.2 is a beast and the Hemi ain't no slouch. Both are solid vehicles as are the, ahem, F. F. Fords. I'd shy away from the Ram 1500 for heavier towing though due to the coil spring rear. Maybe air ride though, but I don't have any experience with them. I did see a Ram 1500 dragging its @ss through a campground this morning though, with a moderate size TT and wdh bars hooked up.
