new truck cost!!

Today, I spied a brand new Ford F-150 Eco Boost 4 door for sale at Costco. The MSRP was $56,000. WOW! I didn't realize the costs had risen that much since I shopped in 2010. I can picture myself in my Mexican built Ram for many, many more years. I had no idea that aluminuium/alunimium/ er, beer can bodies cost so much.
O.K. I'm going to stand aside so I don't get injured by Ford owners.

  • I would think my 05 Ram Cummins with 84K miles is worth what I paid for it in 2007.
Yes, I'm done with new vehicles!! Since modern lubricants or what ever is making gas engines last 200K miles now I would believe there are some really good late model "high mileage" vehicles out there for cheap.
  • Prices of used will get your attention too. I'm looking for the smaller version Toyota (or equal) pickup for my Grandson. I thought $9K+ would get something decent?...well, double that and I can bicker with the best of em!
  • :) Hi, I guess if you can't afford a new Ford truck, you can justify it by calling it "beer Cans". Maybe your Dodge, is made out of Tin Cans, if that makes you feel any better. :R
  • Makes me glad I bought my 12 Ram 2500 CC LB ST 4x4 CTD for $36,000 and change. Even if it likes to regen and make me change my oil 3x a year while only getting 17mpg @70mph on the freeway. It's better than buying a new one.
  • My two friends dropped 80k on a diesel. I bought my 07 LBZ - 2013 powerlite 19 Toy Hauler and my 2014 Polaris 800 4 seater for 67k combined. The price of a new truck is crazy. We bought our fully loaded Tahoe 2007 for 40k. My wife mentioned getting a new one. Now fully loaded it's like 60k.
  • Wow! Can't believe those prices. My 2007 looks better and better.
  • While at the Ford dealer getting LOF on my pickup I wandered around and looked at the new rigs. You are right - WOW!!! The highest I saw was MSRP on a loaded F-350 @ $86,000!

That's 5X what I paid for our first house!
