Skip the 1/2 tons and go w/ the 3/4 ton. Sounds nuts even if a daily driver, but IMO I agree w/ some others that say to plan ahead for future RV's plus going to AK the bigger truck will handle things better. Personally, I'm a Ford guy, but if you want a good ride, go w/ the GM line due to IFS (independent front susp) and go w/biggest gas engine as possible.If ride isn't all that important, then check out both Ford and Ram. Also, do you want a short or long box? Reg, ext or crew cab?. If and I say IF you think you want to upgrade to a really big TT or 5er, then go w/ a 1 ton. Not much of a price diff over a 3/4 but a LOT more payload. A lot of us have been there done that and say "OS".
