For anyone that has purchased a new truck recently, what kind of interest rates are you being offered? I know it will vary depending on credit score, I am trying to negotiate a new truck. I was offered 6.99% at which point I told the salesman that was not going to happen, he said hold on I will see if I can get lower. He called back about 10 minutes later offering 4.99%, I told him that was higher than I wanted to go and I would think about it. I got a call on the answering machine this morning from the manager to call him back. Letting him stew for a bit.

It also depends on the particular truck, year & model. I'm paying 2.49% on a 2018 F 150 purchased July, 18 through my credit union. Dealer got down to 3.2% after some discussion...

With banks paying .5% on savings accounts all I'm gonna go is 1%.I just bought a new farm tractor 2 weeks ago and got 0% financing with 0 down for 56 months. Vehicles can do the same as well but I'll give them 1% max.

My credit union is advertising 3.39% on a 5 year auto loan.

I got them to just under $12,000.00 off MSRP on a 2019 3500HD CCLB LTZ , Dual alternators, gooseneck/ fifth wheel wiring and bed mounts installed. They offered $25,000 for my current truck and I got them up to $27,000 for a 2013 2500HD CCSB LT with 115,000 miles on it. The rebates end on Monday, but I don't have to buy this truck so seeing what I can get them down to.

I can still get 1.9% through my bank. That is also what I got on my 2014 Ram I bought new and the BMW I bought a few years ago.

I bought an Expedition Max and Ford offered 0% for 5 years or 1.9% for 6. Taking the financing you sacrificed $1800 in rebates.

No such thing as a free lunch ! Zero interest , some one pays the interest either in the sale price or price of trade in ! The dealer nor the bank is paying !

Bought our minivan last week a 1.99% through the credit union. They advertised at 2.74%, but with my credit score and direct deposit that went down .75%.

When we bought our truck, the dealer beat the credit union. When we bought the van, the dealer said he knew he couldn't beat that rate and didn't even bother to try to upsell us.

Custom ordered mine and still got 0% financing. Crazy thing is it’s not through FCA it was through the bank of my choice and Ram (or the dealer?) is paying the banks interest rate for the term. I’m in no rush to pay it off.

That 2013 has tons of life left in it, and is probably paid for. Take what ever you payment was and have direct deposited into a truck savings account for another 5+ years. Then you never have to worry about interest rates again.

I did that when I paid off my 2002 Chevy in 2006. Now I can't bring myself to let go of the cash to buy a new one. ??

If you truly find your best cash price and then talk financing they start tacking on additional fees and the interest rate offered is not very attractive. I always ask but I think the only time I ended up borrowing money for a truck was in 1993.... I probably shouldn't have bought that truck because back then paying cash was not an option for me.
