Couple of things stand out on the Keystone. The model you're interested in is 34 ft long, weighs 5900 lbs and is on 14" tires. The ORV Creekside model 26RLS is 31.8 ft long, the same 700 lbs tongue weight, weighs 7K lbs and is on 15" tires.

Heck, even the Blackstone 280RKSB is the roughly the same length as the Keystone you're interested in, but weighs close to 2K more. While that if probably too much for your truck, the way I see it, the increase of 2K lbs has to mean the trailer is built with more robust parts and components.

I'm looking at the same brands as you are, the passports, but I'm looking at the 2890rl and at 5300 lbs I think that will be my best bet with the new 150 I bought, besides its my daily driver as well and I'm not going to pay that much more for a desiel and still get the same mileage out of it as I do my 150 plus the extra cost of the upkeep

Trade it in on a 3/4 ton diesel.
1/2 ton is not enough truck for what you want to tow

Since you're mainly gonna be in the southern states, then a good AC and insulation is a must so you would want a 4 seasons package.

I have never seen one, but alot of people have made some good comments about this brand.

the avalanches have less payload and are not a fair comparison. I had a 2003 z71 with a 5.3 and 3.42s and this truck is no comparison. way better power, torque and transmission gearing. The new 6 speeds are a lot more efficient than the old 4 speeds.

*edit* someone above mention my door sticker payload. I was wrong on the 1500. Its actually 1680. So better than I thought.

Pat, I will be moving 4-6 times a year. Anywhere from 50-700 miles depending on where I get sent. I work 90% in ga, al, ten, ken, and ms. 10% north of that. I always stay in campgrounds. I have never carried fresh water with me. I definitely do not want a basic camper with no joys of home. But do not care about having a cyclone 4000 either. haha. I just want nice and comfortable. The only work that will be done in my camper will be paperwork on my computer that I print out on the jobsite. strictly a home for me. Sorry for being so vague and having to answer so many questions but I do not know the specifics to give.

You better pay close attention to your truck specs (GVWR, GCVWR, etc.) b/c I think you don't have anywhere near the truck to safely pull a 30'+ trailer.

I had an Avalanche w/ the same setup as you, and I struggled w/ a 25' trailer on even the slightest grade.
