Great news!! Somene mentioned in my other thread that there are "green" TTs out there!! I have just done some research, and "goevergreen" is one of them. Also, I was told that "Lance" was another, and I found "skyline."
We called goevergreen and talked with them for quite a while. No odors, they said. Thing is....no dealers in our area have them yet. But, there will be a dealer to start carrying them, only 30 min. from our house!! Yay!! I can't wait to walk into one of them!!
I felt ill after going in and out of all the new TTs when we were out shopping. the odor saturated my hair and clothes and I kept smelling it all night even after returning home!!
Evergreen uses composite materials in their structure and interior finishes. Have walked through a couple of their models at RV show in Tampa. They are indeed less "fragrant", but I would be more excited about the fact there's way less opportunity for wood rot.
Jayco is building California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant models now. Our 2013 WhiteHawk was festooned with stickers proclaiming that fact. Still an odor inside but nothing like RV's built with formaldehyde containing structural/finish material. We notice the odor when we go out on a trip because the trailer is pretty well closed up in storage, but once the windows are open or the AC is running, it is gone.
