If the Big "C" were not available in a pickup I would be driving a GM. One reason is the Ford still is modifying a platform from 1999. GM's is much newer and stronger design.
GM will take care of you with a fuel pump problem where Ford has told several to pound sand. They both run the same Bosch injection pump.
The people that own their trucks and use them to make a living choose GM over Ford. Same with full time RVer's
For looks I personally like the newest GM's but before that the Ford had a better look.
