I think you'll really like the 2500HD with the Duramax as a tow vehicle. I had a 2006HD a couple of years back and it was heads above a gasser, put it in tow/haul mode and let her do it's thing. I traded up about a year ago for a 2010 3500HD so I could haul my new Cedar Creek 5th wheel. Both are great trucks for moving a camper.
