CPW does custom harnesses for just about anything. I found a few salvage 12 and up 2500 complete trucks for about $5g; just a quick auction site search. For that I can get a complete 6.0, 6L80 and 10.5 with harness and computer, then sell the parts to recoup some of the cost. I know someone makes adapters to fit that motor into my body; the trans may be a different animal. I would love to drop in a 6.6 and built Allison, if I can find any that don't require a 2nd mortgage to get.
Both ideas are daydreaming. I really just need to get the basics done first so we can safely drive it. Tranny's getting checked over this week; hoping my issues are VB and service related. I can service it myself, and installed a shift kit in my 94, so am somewhat familiar with this trans family. Payday brings new pitman and idler, front door handles and hinge rebuild, a couple of lock solenoids, oil change, rear diff service and wiper motor.
