Well, sounds like a fun project anyway, even if I don't agree that it's practical. What will make it not fun is retro fitting a 6.5 into it unless you get the donor truck or want a rednecker than average swap. Even at that I would t even think about it for a tow rig. Maybe for a diesel daily driver....maybe. No better way to ruin a trip than limping along and wrenching on a 6.5 turbo diesel.....and parts are expensive for them. Take injectors, glow plugs, inj pump, ops, pmd, and turbo. Any 4 of the 6 will cost you a couple grand to get good quality parts. Don't Dooo the 6.5!
