Forum just kicked out a long winded thorough helpful response on tire pressure.
So short version, the right pressure for the load is better on all fronts. Period.
Yesterday I lowered the pressure in the rear tires to 50psi to match the pressure in the front tires. Today I drove up to the ski resort and back (100+ miles). The change in ride quality was significant and I also noticed a traction improvement in the snow as well, did not feel the need for 4x4 at all until last few miles. Roads were packed snow to wet slush. I won't be riding unloaded without a lower tire pressure again ! The only downside is the TPMS warning on the rear tires :D
Thanks!
