A 2008 TrailCruiser is hardly a new trailer, certainly isn't covered under any type of warranty at all. The first step is to ascertain whether the converter has failed ... disconnect the battery and with the trailer plugged into shore power measure the output of the converter. If it's not between ~ 13.2 to ~ 14.4 vdc then it's most likely failed and would need to be replaced.
