Newbie here - Is R-Pod a good choice?

For weekend use (and maybe an occasional week trip), they will work fine.
I would cost compare with similar size standard trailers. I suspect, you will get more for your money (don't count on drastic fuel economy benefits because of the oval shape). But if you like them go for it.
As others have hinted around at, pretend to do your normal activities and see if there are issues:
- Lay on the bed together.
- Sit on the toilet
- Pretend to get stuff out of the fridge and packing the fridge.
- Etc...
