Both very similar, and well within the specs of my truck, *I think*.
The Shasta gives you more ccc (weight available for cargo) even keeping at 7000 total, and gives you less hitch weight so you have more available for stuff in the truck. Think about what you want to have on trips - bike for your son, etc. Stuff like that will eat up weight fast.
