We have slide. I can't imagine being without one. Ours is a Schwintek slide and mechanically it has performed well since 2010. I personally would not want a slide with a refrigerator in it. Such a refrigerator needs a flexible gas line which makes me a little nervous. It also needs to vent waste heat out the slide's wall instead of the roof. This is less efficient. Some models use a fan to increase ventilation. This is not an issue with shore power, but if you boondock, it will put a significant extra load on your battery.
